[02/03] Still touring with Nils Gessinger. We played in the south of Germany in January. In February there's a few more gigs - this time in the north of Germany:

[02/03] After we recorded four new tracks with Jan Delay & Disko No.1 I wasn't so sure that we would go back to the studio to continue recording so soon. But I was wrong: We are in the studio to work on more songs for the new CD this month because Jan needs more new material. I like that :)
[02/03] I play a TV show with the extremely successfull Roger Cicero in Bremen on February, 11th.

[01/01] Last October I played a great live gig in Hamburg with Barry Finnerty who came over to Europe from his hometown San Francisco. Everybody seemed to really like what we did so we decided to record a CD with Barry's new material. So first thing this year is another gig with the Barry Finnerty Band and after that we go to the studio to record a new CD. This is going to be fun!

[12/01] Today I'll be recording two tracks for Tinity X's new CD in Cologne. It's all instrumental music with musicians I really love working with: That's Franz Holtmann from Triton, Matthias Kraus aka Mat Junior from Matalex and on bass Gudze from H-Blockx.
[12/07] I'll be teaching for two days at the University of Pop in Mannheim.
[12/07] On December, 10th I'll be playing in Hammelburg in Bavaria for Percussion Creativ. Since it's PC's 25th anniversary there's many great drummers and percussionists there. I'll be sharing the stage with David Friedman, Steve Houghton, Claus Hessler, Florian Alexandru-Zorn and Andy Gillmann just to name a few.

[11/07] On November, 29th I play a CD release concert with Nils Gessinger at the Fabrik in Hamburg. I recorded with Nils earlier this year and he already sent me some of the tracks. I really liked what I heard...I am looking forward to hearing the whole CD.

[10/04] I am doing a drum clinic tour this october. I'll be playing clinics in Germany, Austria and Belgium.
[10/04] Even though I really enjoy going on tour alone with just my drums I have to admit that I prefer playing with other musicians :) This happens also this month: I play with Jan Delay & Disko No.1 on October, 24th in Basel / Switzerland.
[10/04] On October, 28th I play a gig with Barry Finnerty at the Birdland in Hamburg. Barry is coming to Germany for the Jazz Festival in Aalen. He is best known for his work with Miles Davis, The Crusaders and Blood Sweat and Tears. In the band are Lutz Krajenski (keys), Lutz Büchner (sax) und Arnd Geise (bass).

[09/10] This month starts with a gig with Jan Delay & Disko No.1 in Hanover. There's two more shows this month: One in Vienna and one in Kassel.
[09/10] On September, 24th I am gonna play my first drum clinic in the Netherlands together with lots of other artists (see flyer):
[09/10] I recently gave an interview to a "Bass quaterly". It's all about what I expect from bass players....I haven't read it yet but it was an interesting conversation.

[08/10] I am in the studio with Johannes Oerding today. I already played on his first two cds. Today we will be working on the songs for his upcoming release.
[08/11] A few days after that I'll be in a different studio with Jan Delay to basicallly to the same thing. We work on songs for the next cd. Different songs of course :)
Plus we have to rehearse for our gig in Hamburg. This is going to be a special show with many guests on stage at a huge venue. I think I better prepare for long rehearsal days.
[08/11] Every August I teach at the "Popkurs" at the university of music in Hamburg. Always a good thing to do!
[08/11] On August, 28th I play this month's drum clinic. I like to play at least one clinic per month. That makes me keep my chops up.

[07/04] The first gig I'll be playing in July is a drum clinic in Ramstein on the 9th of July.
[07/04] On July, 22nd, I play a gig with Jan Delay & Disko No.1 in Austria. Too bad that I am going to miss the vaction the band takes after the gig: The promoter offered us to spend a few extra nights in a nice hotel in Austria but I can't tke this offer.......although it's free :)
I'll be heading to Bavaria the very night after the gig to be a part of the "Rhythm" seminar.
[07/04] The "Rhythm" seminar is taking place in Marktoberdorf / Germany at the end of this month. There's so many great teachers there that I am going to learn a lot from. At the best thing is: I am part of the faculty. The others are: Alex Acuna, Luis Conte, Claus Hessler, Adam Nussbaum, Phil Maturano, & Walfredo Reyes.

[06/07] Since yesterday I am in the studio with Jan Delay & Disko No.1. We are writing & recording new songs for the upcoming album. At the end of the week we will be traveling to Stuttgart to play a live show there.
[06/07] And I am going to play one gig with the Nils Gessinger Band in the far south of Germany. At the end of June I am going to be in the Studio with Nils to record a few songs for his upcoming album.

[05/05] This month has it all: Live gigs, TV shows, studio work, drum clinics and some teaching at the University of Pop in Mannheim.
[05/05] We play two live shows with Jan Delay & Disko No.1 and a huge TV show which is called Eurovision Song Contest.
There will be 35.000 people in the audience and approximately 150.000.000 people watching at home.
That means that we have to rehearse a lot. The show takes place in Duesseldorf so we'll spend some time there :)
[05/05] I'll be doing a studio session together with Ali Busse on bass. That is our first session as a rhythm section apart from playing for Jan Delay. I am really looking forward to doing that.

[04/07] I know there's no point in announcing gigs that have already taken place but just for the record: The month of April started with a very pleasant gig with Jan Delay & Disko No.1 in Austria.
[04/07] This Saturday you can find me at the Frankfurt Musik Messe. It is always nice to go there because it gives me the opportunity to meet all the representatives of the companies I am glad to work with. There are two signing sessions: At the Sonor booth at 1:45pm (together with Christoph Schneider, Benny Greb & Chris Coleman) and after that at the Meinl booth at 3pm (together with Chris Coleman, Wolfgang Haffner, Benny Greb & Bertram Engel).
[05/07] When I'm back in Hamburg I'll be rehearsing for a couple of hours with the Nils Gessinger Band. We are on tour in the these cities:

[15.02.] German Sticks Magazine has picked Jan Delay's "Rave against the machine" to be the "Groove of the month". Here's a video that a fan has taken at a huge festival where we played as headliners in front 60000 people last year.
[15.02.] Johannes Oerding's new CD was released a few days ago. I played on seven of the tracks and so far the CD is doing good in the charts plus I hear the single on the radio a lot. So that's good :)
[02.02.] My first task this month is to take the train to Mannheim to teach there for two days at the Univerity of Music.
[02.02.] Right after that I am gonna hop on the nightliner to go to Austria with Jan Delay & Disko No.1. At the end of this month will be playing another gig in Munich.
[02.02.] There are two drum clinics in February: The first event is a whole weekend in Wesel and after that on February, 17th in Gruendau at 7 pm @ Music and More.
[01/22] I have recorded 22 videos for my favourite cymbal brand on a very long day last December. Here is one of these videos:
[01/03] Many things to do this January: I am in the middle of the rehearsals for my tour with the Nils Gessinger Band. He likes good drummers. On his last two CDs these drummers were Vinnie Colaiuta and Dave Weckl amoung others.
